Stages of the donor program

What is the procedure for those wishing to become an oocyte donor? First of all, it is an introduction to the conditions, the process and a general interview by the coordinator of the medical facility. This is usually a phone call during which you can get instant feedback: basic information, answers to your questions regarding cost, stages and an appointment for an initial visit to the doctor for a preliminary assessment of whether you can become a donor. Having agreed on the day and time, the candidate is invited to a consultation and examination by an obstetrician-gynecologist. At the appointment, an ultrasound examination of the pelvic organs is mandatory, where the doctor's focus will be primarily on the so-called “lay”. - The number of antral follicles or, in other words, the stock of oocytes. Such an assessment is better to conduct in the first phase of a woman's menstrual cycle, but usually the first visit to a medical institution is not tied to a specific day in the female calendar.
